The Louisa Agriculture Fair

With a strong educational focus, the Ag. Fair provides the community with an opportunity to learn more about the importance of agriculture to our county and our lives.  Activities include judged exhibits in numerous categories, entertainment, 4-H and FFA projects, great food and more.

Through the Louisa Extension Master Gardeners AG Fair Project, Master Gardeners provide educational opportunities and vital staffing and program support to the fair.  As a Master
Gardener, you can help in a variety of ways and accumulate volunteer hours.

  • Assist with registration of judged exhibits on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning prior to the start of the fair

  • Serve as a Judge for the judged exhibits such as fresh produce, food preservation, baked goods, flower entries, crafts, children’s entries, photography, and more (Thursday morning prior to the fair)

  • Be a Judge’s helper, which is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the process (Thursday morning)

  • Be a Building sitter during fair hours for judged exhibits (Friday and/or Saturday)

  • Provide Children’s activities for the Kid’s Tent (Friday and/or Saturday)

  • Staff the Louisa Extension Master Gardeners Booth which will include the Plant Clinic and a children’s activity at Eva's Frame Shop (Friday and Saturday).
